Dr. Maria Carraro, PhD

Senior Scientist @AC Camargo Cancer Center In the last 20 years, Dr. Carraro has focused on discovering how altered genes and pathways can be involved in cancer arising and progressing, as well as inherited susceptibility to cancer. She has applied her genomics background to the clinic by translating research into practice, transferring the newest applications of genomic testing to personalized oncology. She has supervised undergraduate and graduate students with biological and clinical backgrounds, also establishing national and international collaborative works for studying cancer in a broader perspective.

Dr. Philip Jermann, PhD

Director, Molecular Assay Development @University Hospital Basel Dr. Jermann is currently in charge of the molecular diagnostics laboratory at the Institute of Pathology in Basel. He has extensive experience in using next-generation sequencing for genomic profiling in a clinical setting. He and his team are continuously developing and evaluating novel assays that can improve patient stratification for personalized cancer treatment.
