Dear Colleagues,
Summer seems to have finally arrived thank goodness. Although late in coming, I expect we’ll have fine weather from here on in.
From the CCMG front, I have a number of important items to bring to your attention:
- Canadian Gene Cure Foundation Receipts. Many of you generously contributed to CGCF through the CCMG membership drive and are still waiting for your charity receipts. It turns out to be more difficult than anticipated to isolate the donations accurately but the CCMG auditors are working on it and will forward the donations and donor list to the CGCF as soon as possible. Your patience is much appreciated!
- Vancouver AGM and Scientific Symposia. The Scientific committee under the chairmanship of Dr. David Chitayat has done a wonderful planning job this year. The main themes they have chosen to cover are: Animal models of human diseases and Epigenetics. This newsletter contains everything you need to know about the upcoming meeting – please check out the links!
- Trainees – call for abstracts. Speaking of the AGM, I would like to encourage trainees to take a break from preparing for the exams and submit an abstract and check out the Margaret Thompson Trainee Award information on our website.
